I love what I do.

When I look back at what I have done in this short span of owning a camera, I smile. When I chose this path, it was on the verge of my twin brother’s college graduation. My now wife and I were walking to her car after stopping by the Pittsburg State campus and I said to her, I think I want to go back to school for photography. Not knowing what exactly I would do or even what degree I would obtain, I enrolled.

Starting with high school sports, and some public rec league sports, I found my so-called calling… Sports Photography. I fell in love with sports in a way I didn’t think was possible. Now there is a story to tell with photos. You capture memories for the athletes, the school, the organizations, and the coaches that they can look back on. You’re capturing history and life moments for people you might not even know yet. I say yet because this profession has led me to get to know many people and learn their stories. That is just one thing I love about what I do. Learning about their fight and their passion to be great at what they do and what they strive for. I’ve checked things off of my bucket list as a sports photographer, things I couldn’t imagine possible being in a small town in the midwest.

Lately, I have been thinking of the things I have accomplished, my favorite shots, or the stories behind photos, and feel joy. It’s hard work but well worth it in the end. I’ve met and made many friends along the way that I am beyond thankful for in this life.

To the friends I’ve made and to the friends and relationships to come in the future, I thank you.

It’s been awhile.

Hello readers,

I have been busy in life and lazy with blogging. I guess you can say I got over it after a while but I like to jump in occasionally and share. Today, I will be sharing some videos I have put out. So if you have free time, take a watch!
